Do you have a cycling name and if so, what is it and why?  I am not sure that I qualify for a groovy cycling name yet, but I’m working on it…Well now, it’s ‘SmokeZog’ cos she’s smokiiiiiiing!

What do you do when you’re not riding a bike? If I’m not at work and not on a bike, I am probably outside doing something else fun. I entered a couple of triathlons this season and I am a keen runner.

What’s your cycling history?  My recent cycling history is quite short. As a kid, my dad dragged me and my sister up and down the Yorkshire Pennines on our little mountain bikes and the cycling seed was obviously sown, but there was a long bike free gap in my life until summer 2014. Inspired by my friends’ cycling adventures, I bought my first ever road bike, and I have not looked back since.

My favourite cycling moment was on Holme Moss as the 2014 Tour de France passed through Holmfirth, my home town in West Yorkshire. I borrowed a bike and rode up the Moss to watch with my family. The atmosphere was incredible and Yorkshire did itself proud in hosting Le Grand Depart.  Coincidentally, a group of fellow Baroudeurs were standing only a few meters further down the road, but we didn’t know eachother back then.

My worst cycling moments all involve embarrassing newbie clip related incidents, but I hope I have just about got them out of my system now.
